"Jake" by Jim Bartlett is a piece of flash fiction that resonates deeply with us for several reasons. We liked how the story explored the theme of human emotions and relationships, making the story emotional and thought-provoking. It leaves a lasting impression towards the readers like us. 

 What we enjoyed most about "Jake" is the way the author, Jim Bartlett dives into struggles of the protagonist, Jake through vivid descriptions and understandable language, the author greatly captured emotions like grief and pain which is very relatable because we, as humans have felt these kind of emotions before.

This story left us with a deep sense of reflection and contemplation, making us think about the nature of resilience in facing life's challenges and how we should cherish every moment in just one blink, everything might be gone. Jake's story teaches us to be strong at all times even when things doesn't turn out to what we expected.
